Jinn Janpathompong - A dedicated runner, Jinn dreams of incorporating a love of sports and acquired techniques in speech pathology to empower children to learn. Through sociodramatic play and storytelling, Jinn plans to develop a curriculum to stimulate engagement and proliferate children’s vocabulary and literacy skills.

Aniketh Shelat has a passion for medicine.  This started when coaching youngsters leading to his curiosity about the human body and a desire to contribute to advancements in healthcare.  He plans to pursue a medical degree and wants to be clinician and do research.

William Zhang aspires to work in medical device research and development after attending graduate school for biomedical engineering and computer science. He wants to design accessibility technology that helps people with disabilities stay physically active, maintain an healthy social life, and stay involved in their local community with the help of prosthetic devices.

Serafina Applegate aspires to become a pediatric orthopedic doctor.  As an athlete drawn to competition and battling injuries, she wants to help children return to sports and what they love in a comfortable and healthy way.  Serafina is an LBYH alum!

Joshua Rifkin - An injury during basketball started as a personal challenge and transformed into a fascination for science, movement, and especially the field of medicine.  Now Josh aspires to become an orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulders and knees.  Josh is an LBYH alum!


Athina-Anna Vlachos- Swimming has been more than just a sport to Athina-Anna.  It has been the catalyst for her curiosity about the brain and its functions, and it has inspired her to pursue a career that bridges the gap between neuroscience and mental wellness.  She aims to pursue a career where she can influence healthcare policies, conduct research, and help develop solutions that improve both the accessibility and quality of care.
